It can be difficult at times to activate parts of us that we left behind earlier in life due to trauma — and this trauma can be as simple as someone telling us at age 5 that we sang horribly. Or living through our first heartbreak. These experiences can fracture our confidence, and it’s like we leave a piece of ourselves behind.
